Job summary

Frontier Behavioral Health seeks a Certified Peer Support Specialist/Trainee to join the WISe team in Spokane. The role emphasizes youth and family engagement, in-home/community services, and collaboration with clinicians to support recovery goals.

The candidate must be a parent or guardian of a youth in care, hold a WA credential (or trainee) and have a valid driver’s license. Travel across community sites is required.

Qualifications

• The candidate must be a parent or legal guardian of a youth receiving behavioral health services.
• The candidate must obtain the WA DOH Certified Peer Support Specialist credential or trainee credential within 90 days of start date.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have an unrestricted driver’s license and willingness to use a personal vehicle for work.
• Two years of experience in community behavioral health preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist clinicians in developing treatment objectives and interventions for youth.
• Provide ongoing peer support and empower families to participate in care.
• Serve as client advocate and support recovery efforts within WISe teams.
• Facilitate recovery groups and maintain confidential client records.
• Engage with clients and families pre-discharge and assist with community transition.
• Travel between community sites and provide in-home/ community services as needed.
