Job summary

Openwork is seeking an HVAC Electrical Wiring Assembler in Stafford, TX. The role involves installing and wiring components in HVAC equipment, routing wires, and assembling control panels. You will read schematics, use test equipment, and support troubleshooting to ensure quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous electrical assembly or wiring experience.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Basic understanding of AC/DC electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Install and wire electrical components in HVAC equipment.
• Route, secure, label, and terminate wires, harnesses, and cables.
• Install relays, transformers, circuit breakers, sensors, control boards, PLCs, and VFDs.
• Assemble and wire electrical control panels and enclosures.
• Cut, strip, crimp, and terminate wires.
• Read schematics and wiring diagrams; perform basic electrical testing.
• Conduct continuity checks and verify wiring accuracy.
• Assist with troubleshooting and document production processes.

Pay: $15-$20 | Weekly Pay

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM

Overtime: Saturdays | 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM, based on company needs

Openwork is hiring an experienced HVAC Electrical Wiring Assembler for a growing manufacturing company in Stafford, TX. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on electrical wiring or assembly experience who can read schematics and takes pride in accurate, quality work.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Install and wire electrical components in HVAC equipment
• Route, secure, label, and terminate wires, harnesses, and cables
• Install relays, transformers, circuit breakers, sensors, control boards,PLCs, and VFDs
• Assemble and wire electrical control panels and enclosures
• Cut, strip, crimp, and terminate wires
• Read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, ladder diagrams, and engineeringdrawings
• Perform visual inspections and basic electrical testing
• Conduct continuity checks and verify wiring accuracy
• Identify wiring or component issues and assist with troubleshooting
• Complete required production and inspection documentation

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous electrical assembly or wiring experience
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
• Basic understanding of AC and DC electrical systems
• Experience with wire preparation, crimping, and electrical terminations
• Ability to use multimeters and continuity testers
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Dependable attendance and ability to work well with a team

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Commercial or industrial HVAC equipment wiring
• HVAC electrical controls and components
• Electrical control panel assembly
• PLCs, VFDs, sensors, and automated controls
• Electrical troubleshooting
• NEC or industrial electrical practices
• Lean Manufacturing or 5S experience

PHYSICAL & SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to stand and remain active for extended periods
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
• Ability to bend, kneel, reach, and work within equipment areas
• Ability to distinguish wire colors and read small labels
• Follow required PPE, electrical safety, and Lockout/Tagout procedures
• Maintain a clean and safe workstation
