Job summary

Mobile Communications America in Georgetown, TX is seeking a Communication Systems Technician to install and service land mobile radio systems and related equipment. The role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and upgrading customer systems while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Travel to job sites in Georgetown area is required. The position emphasizes teamwork, customer service, and ongoing learning of new technologies in communications and equipment.

Qualifications

• At least two years of experience diagnosing, repairing, programming and installing mobile communications equipment.
• Experience with testing equipment such as spectrum analyzers, system analyzers, watt meters, TDRs, FDRs and multimeters.
• Associate degree in Electronics, IT, Telecommunications, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair LMR systems and related equipment for multiple markets.
• Design and upgrade customer systems to latest technologies and solutions.
• Provide technical support and communicate system performance and repair needs to customers.
• Complete service tickets and documentation accurately within timelines.
• Be mentored in new communications technology and adhere to safety standards.
