Job summary

TECEZE is seeking field technicians equipped with networking basics to console into devices and perform necessary configurations to restore service. Technicians will use supplied tools such as laptops with console cables, Ethernet cables, and USB drives to access Managed Equipment in the field.

Candidates should be prepared to perform routine programming and configuration tasks and must be qualified in the technologies they support with the appropriate tool sets provided by TECEZE.

Qualifications

• Field technicians must have basic networking skills to console into devices and perform configuration tasks to restore service.
• All tools for field technicians shall be supplied and kept up to date.
• Technicians must be qualified in technologies they support and carry necessary access tools.

Responsibilities

• Access Managed Equipment to perform routine programming and configuration tasks.
• Utilize supplied tools to diagnose, configure, and restore devices in the field.

Job description

Supplier’s field technicians shall be fully prepared with the appropriate tools and skillsets. For instance, they shall possess the basic networking skills to directly console to a device and perform configuration tasks to restore service. All tools (e.g., screwdrivers, wrenches, ladders, etc.) shall be supplied by the field technician.

All field technicians shall be fully qualified in the technologies they always support and have the following tools as necessary:

• Laptops with console cables
• Crossover and Ethernet cables
• Basic tool sets (screwdrivers, plyers, etc.)
• Cell phones and 4G/5G connectivity for console access to remote engineers
• Thumb drive/USB drive

Field technicians must be able to access Managed Equipment and perform routine programming and configuration tasks.
