Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to operate and set up Agie wire EDM machines or equivalent.
• Ability to interpret written or verbal instructions from blueprints and sketches.
• Ability to maintain tight tolerances of +/- .0005.
• Knowledge of tool steels and carbide material.
• Maintain part identification and records accurately.
• Operate more than one machine at a time.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Knowledge of Mastercam Wire EDM programming a plus.
• Minimum 3 years related experience in operating and setting up Wire EDM machines, or equivalent experience in fastener manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, set up and operate multiple Wire EDM machines.
• Read prints and use precision measuring tools to check parts.
• Verify parts against drawings after setup and runs.
• Follow all safety procedures, including Lock/Tag/Verify.
• Train future operators as needed.
