Qualifications

• Operate and set up Agie wire EDM machines or equivalent.
• Interpret prints, blueprints or sketches to requirements.
• Work to precise tolerances of ±0.0005.
• Know tool steels and carbide materials.
• Maintain part identification and records.
• Operate more than one machine at a time.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Mastercam Wire EDM programming a plus.
• Minimum 3 years related experience in Wire EDM or similar.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, sets up and operates multiple Wire EDM machines.
• Independently sets up multiple tools in fixtures.
• Maintains machines and performs maintenance as needed.
• Reads prints and uses precision measuring instruments to check conformance.
• Verifies parts against drawings after setup and runs checks.
• Follows safety procedures; may train future Operators.
• Lifts up to 30 lbs and keeps area clean.
• Other tasks of equal or lesser skill as required.
