Job summary

Worthington Armstrong Venture (WAVE) is seeking a Wire EDM Technician to join our team. You will set up, run, and troubleshoot wire EDM machines to produce precision components in a production/toolroom environment.

The role emphasizes reading blueprints, interpreting CAD drawings, and maintaining tight tolerances to support quality and efficiency. Ideal candidates have 2–7 years of Wire EDM experience, familiarity with CAM software, and a strong eye for detail.

Qualifications

• 2–7 years of Wire EDM experience in tool & die or precision machining.
• Ability to read blueprints, CAD drawings, and GD&T requirements.
• Experience with CAM software and basic programming concepts.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Wire EDM machines (Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Makino, or similar).
• Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and GD&T requirements.
• Perform program edits and basic programming (G-code or CAM-generated).
• Maintain documentation of setups, offsets and job progress.
• Troubleshoot machine issues and ensure precision and surface finish.
