Job summary

PrecisionX Group is seeking a Wire EDM Programmer/Technician to program, set up and operate wire EDM machines to produce precision components per customer drawings. You will read GD&T specifications, interface with CAM software, and submit first article samples for QA.

You will collaborate with Tool Room, Engineering and Quality teams, optimize cycles, document programs, and perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure part quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience programming and operating Wire EDM machines (any make/model).
• Experience with CAM programming software for Wire EDM (ESPRIT preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T; awareness of tolerances and surface finishes.
• Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO 9001/AS9100 is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certificate preferred.
• Experience in ITAR-regulated or aerospace/defense environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T to determine machining requirements.
• Program Wire EDM parts using CAM software and post-process for machine controls.
• Set up and operate Wire EDM machines to cut precision parts.
• Troubleshoot programming, machine or process issues to minimize downtime.
• Perform first article inspections and in-process quality checks with precision tools.
• Maintain documentation of programs, setups and inspection results.
• Coordinate with maintenance for routine machine upkeep.
• Cross-train on CAM software or machine controls as needed.
