Job summary

PrecisionX Group is seeking a skilled Wire EDM Programmer/Technician to read engineering drawings, program parts with CAM software, and set up wire EDM machines. You will collaborate with Tool Room, Engineering, and Quality to ensure first article samples meet prints and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience with Wire EDM, ESPRIT CAM, and GD&T, and can troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime while maintaining thorough documentation and adherence to ISO 9001/AS9100

Qualifications

• 2+ years programming and operating Wire EDM machines.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and GD&T.
• Experience with CAM software ESPRIT preferred.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001/AS9100 quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T to determine machining requirements.
• Program Wire EDM parts using CAM software and post-process for controls.
• Set up and operate Wire EDM machines to cut parts from various materials.
• Troubleshoot programming or process issues to minimize downtime and scrap.
• Perform first-article inspections and document results per quality system.
