• Follow policies during client callbacks and activities involving risk.
• Adhere to wire transfer process policies and procedures.
• Monitor OFAC details for potential violations and unusual activity.
• Report OFAC matches and unusual activity to supervisor/compliance.
• Complete mandatory training including BSA and AML procedures; stay compliant.
• Maintain regular attendance; be available during emergencies or late shifts.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Description

SUMMARY: Wire Associate is responsible for performing operational support duties of the Wire department. Primary responsibility will be processing incoming and outgoing wires in a high volume, time sensitive environment. Wire Associate will be responsible for utilizing automated wire transfer system to ensure all wires are processed in an accurate, timely and compliant manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Processes and verifies incoming and outgoing domestic and international wires through applicable bank systems in accordance with all policies and procedures and wire transfer deadlines.
• Process service messages and drawdowns.
• Answers inquiries, resolves wire related issues, and performs other support duties to assist branches and other departments processing wires.
• Performs callbacks for online initiated wires, repetitive wires and remote wires.
• Follows the appropriate policies and procedures during client callbacks and other activities that involve potential risk.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures related to the wire transfer processes.
• Monitors OFAC details for possible OFAC violation and other unusual activity.
• Report OFAC failed matches and other unusual activity to department supervisor and compliance for further review.
• Complete all mandatory and elective training, including BSA (Bank Secrecy Act) and Anti-Money Laundering procedures. Maintain compliance with all appropriate rules and regulations.
• Regular, predictable attendance is an essential requirement of this position. Availability during emergency events or requests to work late.
• Complete all other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1 year in banking or financial services.
• Preferred skills include:
  • Work experience with FISERV Premier
  • Wire experience
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment driven by deadlines for processing wires timely
