Job summary

Kishwaukee College is seeking a WIOA Adult Program Coordinator to oversee the implementation of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act grant, recruit diverse participants, and ensure access to eligible training programs, supporting successful outcomes.

The role manages daily operations, supervises staff, maintains compliance with FERPA and grant policies, collaborates with college partners, and tracks budgets and monthly billings to funding agencies while advancing student success.

Qualifications

• Understanding of student-centered practices to support success, retention, and engagement throughout the academic journey.
• Knowledge of FERPA and other federal/state regulations related to admissions, registration, and student records.
• Ability to lead by example, inspire others, and foster a positive, inclusive work environment.
• Experience overseeing budgets, ensuring financial accountability, and optimizing resource allocation.
• Sets clear expectations and goals for employees; provides coaching and training.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and implement WIOA Adult Program goals as outlined in grant requirements, maintaining a caseload of participants.
• Maintain positive relationships with grant funding agencies.
• Collaborate with college stakeholders to develop and submit grant proposals.
• Fiscally manage the program budget and submit monthly billings/reports to funding agencies.
• Supervise staff funded under the WIOA Adult Program.
• Recruit eligible participants through collaboration with academic units, local schools, and community organizations.
• Provide career and educational advisement on local WIOA training options to participants.
• Plan and coordinate participant success initiatives to improve retention and completion.
• Attend local, state, and federal events to improve outcomes; participate in outreach.
