Job summary

The Trustees of Reservations seek a Seasonal Production Crew member for the Bradley Estate in Canton, MA. You will support Winterlights by helping with event setup, admissions, retail and concessions, and ensuring a welcoming visitor experience.

Reporting to the Regional Events Manager, you’ll assist with lighting, decor, safety, and basic maintenance, work up to 40 hours per week, including nights and weekends, and help create a sparkling holiday display for thousands of visitors.

Qualifications

  • Excellent people skills to lead, inspire, motivate and work cooperatively with others.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong commitment to The Trustees of Reservations’ mission.
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends.
  • Must be willing to climb ladders and lift 30 pounds.
  • Must stand for hours at a time.
  • Preferred: Point of sale experience (Toast).
  • Experience in food service or customer service is a plus.
  • Interest in lighting, design, decor, or staging.

Responsibilities

  • Set up lights, sets and decorative displays, stocking supplies and preparing the property for public visitation.
  • Assist with admissions, retail support, concessions and wayfinding on event day.
  • Support safety, accessibility, and guest services during the event.
  • Other duties as assigned, with or without accommodation.

The gardens at two of our most popular historic homes, The Bradley Estate in Cantonand Naumkeag inStockbridge,will sparkle with thousands of shimmering holiday lights.This event brought over16,000visitors to Bradley in 2025.

The Role:

Apart of theWinterlightsProduction Crew, you will report to theRegionalEvents Manager to deliver excellent standards of visitor service at the Bradley Estate in Canton, MA, including admissions, check-in, retail and concessions sales, and event setup for our seasonalWinterlightsdisplay.The SignatureEventsStewardalso supports stewardship projects and provides support for this specific event as assigned.The signatureeventsstewardposition will begin as early as September 15 and continue as late as January31.This employment window is subject to change depending on site staffing needs.This event runs November 27-January2from Wednesday-Sunday (closed December 24-25; open December 21-22, 28-29, andJanaury1).This employment window is subject to change depending on site staffing needs.

Specifically,you’ll:
  • Support the Bradley Estate team with set up to produce a successful event. This includes but is not limited tothe planning and installation oflights,sets, anddecorativedisplays, stocking supplies, preparing the property for public visitation,etc.
  • Support day of event visitor experience through admission, retail support, concessions,and ensuring proper wayfinding.
  • Support day of event visitor experience, safety, and services through safety patrols, monitoring, and ensuring clean and functioning facilities.
  • Other duties as assigned with or without accommodation.

This is a limited term, nonexempt position [40 hours/week] reporting directly tothe RegionalEvents Manager.

  • Required:

  • The ability to work nights and weekends isrequired.
  • Must be willing to climb ladders and lift heavy objects (30 pounds).
  • Must be able to stand for hours at a time.
  • Preferred:
  • Point of sale experience (i.emanaging cash registers, Toast,etc)
  • Previousexperience in a food service or customer service environment (i.ebarista, restaurant, department store).
  • Previousexperience orstronginterest inlighting,design, decor, or staging.
Eligibility Criteria:
  • Current authorization to work in the United States – a candidate must have such authorization by his or her first day of employment.
  • A satisfactory criminal background (CORI) check.
