Job summary

The Village of Barrington Public Works Department is seeking three Seasonal Maintenance workers to join our team this winter. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience contributing to essential services that keep the Village running.

Qualified candidates must be at least 18 years old, have a High School diploma or equivalent, possess a valid Illinois Driver’s License, CDL B with airbrakes preferred, and be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Job description

Qualified candidates must be at least 18 years old, have a High School diploma or equivalent, possess a valid Illinois Driver’s License, CDL B with airbrakes preferred, and be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.

This role requires the ability to: understand and follow instructions, communicate effectively in English, perform work outdoors in varying weather conditions, and safely operate motor vehicles and power tools.

The schedule is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday 6:30AM to 3:00PM with overtime required depending on weather, between December and March.
