Job summary

The Village of Barrington Public Works Department seeks motivated individuals to work as on-call Seasonal Support Staff. General duties include snow and ice control activities including snow plowing, salting, and hand shoveling.

Hours are flexible, on an as-needed basis and will vary depending on weather conditions. We do our best to work around your schedule, so this is a good opportunity to supplement income.

Qualifications

• Qualified candidates must be at least 18 years old.
• have a High School diploma or equivalent
• possess a valid Illinois Driver’s License
• CDL B with airbrakes preferred
• be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis
• This role requires the ability to: understand and follow instructions
• communicate effectively in English
• perform work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• safely operate motor vehicles
