Discovery Land Company is seeking an Outdoor Pursuits Supervisor for Homewood Mountain & Lake Club in California. This role leads the winter Outdoor Pursuits team, ensuring safe, high-quality on-mountain and backcountry experiences throughout the season, while upholding service and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in luxury hospitality with 2+ years of direct supervision, strong knowledge of winter operations, and AIARE certification or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in a luxury resort setting or related hospitality field.
• Minimum 2 years of direct staff supervision experience.
• Strong knowledge of winter mountain operations; AIARE certification preferred.
• First Aid/CPR certified.
• Experience teaching or coaching outdoor activities.
• Experience in guest service industry.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise the Winter Outdoor Pursuits team (Coordinator, Guides, Coaches, Attendants).
• Oversee safety program, risk assessments, incident response, and certification tracking.
• Support recruiting, onboarding, scheduling, performance reviews and promotions for winter staff.
• Manage department administration, including payroll input and reporting to the Director of Club Operations.
• Ensure exceptional member experiences and cross-department collaboration on events.
