Job summary

Powdr Corp. in Bend, Oregon seeks a Daycare Supervisor to support daily operations in a state-certified childcare setting. You will assist the Childcare Manager, supervise staff, and oversee care for children aged 6 weeks to 10 years in a drop-in daycare.

The role runs 9:00 am–5:00 pm, seven days a week, indoors with daily outdoor play. A Central Background Registry (CBR) number is required before starting, with Oregon DELC certifications and First Aid/CPR and Food Handler’s Card mandatory.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Minimum of two years of related experience preferred.
• Active CBR number required prior to starting.
• First Aid/CPR and Food Handler’s Card required.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Availability to work holidays.
• Must pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Support the Childcare Manager with day-to-day operations.
• Assist in planning and developing curriculum and programs.
• Serve as Substitute Director when the Manager is off-site.
• Supervise Childcare Aides when they are with children, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Perform all duties of a Childcare Aide when necessary.
• Assist with scheduling, staffing, and capacity management.
• Document and support disciplinary actions when needed.
• Assist in conducting performance reviews for teachers and aides.
• Assist in hiring and termination processes.
• Provide training and support for continuing education for staff.
• Assist with sales and reservations as needed.
