Job summary

State of Indiana’s Evansville Sub-District seeks a Winter Seasonal Maintenance Worker to perform snow and ice removal, traffic maintenance, and related maintenance duties. A CDL is required, and duties include operating highway equipment to keep INDOT assets in good condition.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Class A or Class B CDL.
• Must be able to move 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.
• Ability to work long hours, including winter operations and varying shifts.
• Drug test required as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Operate highway maintenance and traffic equipment to maintain highways and right-of-way.
• Move and load supplies and materials.
• Winter operations including snow and ice removal.
• Emergency response tasks: traffic control, lane closures, signs, barricades.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and pre-trip inspections.
