Job summary

Ross Stores invites you to a two-week Winternship in California. You will work with our buying teams, gaining hands-on experience to understand what it takes to be a Buyer and contribute to insightful merchandising decisions.

You will observe admin and operational functions, analyze regional reports, attend market appointments, and learn our merchandising systems and warehouse processes while developing product knowledge and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Proven interest in retail, merchandising, and analytics.
• Must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree with expected graduation between Dec 2026 and May 2027.
• Excellent Excel and MS Office skills.
• Strong numerical and analytical abilities.
• Effective communication and teamwork are essential.

Responsibilities

• Observe the administrative and operational functions supporting a designated Buyer.
• Analyze and interpret key business issues, including regional merchandise reports and stock analysis.
• Attend market appointments and competitive shopping trips.
• Learn merchandising systems and gain understanding of warehouse processes.
• Demonstrate product knowledge through sharing information with the buyer.
