Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is offering an Assistant Buyer Intern program in Los Angeles, CA. You will support a designated buyer with purchase orders, markdowns, writing orders, and coordinating shipments while learning stock analysis and Open-to-Buy concepts.

You will build vendor relationships, gain exposure to merchandising systems, and present findings to senior management. Collegial, analytical, and detail-oriented candidates who graduate Aug 2027–May 2028 are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of retail math and stock analysis.
• Proficient in Excel and Outlook; able to use basic merchandising systems.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform PO management, markdowns, write orders, and handle changes/cancellations.
• Monitor regional merchandise reports and Open-to-Buy stock analysis.
• Build relationships with vendors and resolve issues.
• Learn to use merchandising systems and generate reports for business interpretation.
• Share product knowledge after market comparison and shopping Ross Stores.
