Job summary

Madeline Hotel & Residences, Auberge Collection in Telluride, CO, is seeking a skilled Barista to craft exceptional coffee experiences for guests in a luxury mountain resort.

Join our team to greet guests, take orders, operate the POS, prepare beverages and light bites, balance cash drawers, and maintain a spotless station in a fast-paced environment. Previous hospitality experience and a flexible schedule are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience as a barista preferred.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Previous hospitality experience preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, according to department needs.
• Indoor environment, sometimes cold or hot conditions.
• Ability to lift/carry 30 pounds.
• Flexible in performance of all duties.
• Superior professional appearance and manner, good character to work in a fast-paced team.

Responsibilities

• Greet the guest in a prompt, courteous manner and explain available items in detail.
• Record the details of the order from the guest, repeating the order back to the guest to check for accuracy.
• Promptly and accurately input the order into the Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Prepares beverage and food orders to accuracy.
• Ensure order forms are filled out daily for next day service and delivered to Kitchen and Pastry.
• Process cash, credit card, and charge sales for all retail and food and beverage orders.
• Prepare the cashier end of shift reports and ensure that you drawer is balanced.
• Check station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness.
• Wipe and sanitize all work surfaces, door knobs, equipment, pens, etc periodically during your shift.
• Perform side duties such as; restocking condiments, utensils, retail items, beverages, ect.
• Put away requisition/supplies from the storeroom as required.
• Familiar with hotel layout and hours of operations for each outlet.
• Perform any cleaning tasks that pertain to the outlet.

The targeted compensation range for this full time year round, non-exempt position is $15.00/hr plus tips. The position offers a competitive compensation package presented by Auberge Resorts Collection.
