Job summary

Madeline Hotel & Residences, Auberge Collection in Telluride is seeking a Barista to craft exquisite coffee experiences and deliver attentive guest service in a fast-paced resort environment.

Join a luxury alpine property where you greet guests, take orders, operate the POS, and ensure accurate beverage and food preparation while maintaining station cleanliness and teamwork. Weekend and holiday availability is required.

Qualifications

• Any combination of education that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
• Minimum of one year experience as a barista preferred.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Previous hospitality experience preferred.
• Superior professional appearance and manner, good character to work in a fast-paced team.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, according to department needs.
• Indoor environment, sometimes cold or hot conditions.
• Ability to lift/carry 30 pounds.
• Flexible in performance of all duties.

Responsibilities

• Greet the guest in a prompt, courteous manner and explain available items in detail.
• Record the details of the order from the guest, repeating the order back to the guest to check for accuracy.
• Promptly and accurately input the order into the Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Prepares beverage and food orders to accuracy.
• Ensure order forms are filled out daily for next day service and delivered to Kitchen and Pastry.
• Process cash, credit card, and charge sales for all retail and food and beverage orders.
• Prepare the cashier end of shift reports and ensure that you drawer is balanced.
• Check station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness.
• Wipe and sanitize all work surfaces, door knobs, equipment, pens, etc periodically during your shift.
• Perform side duties such as; restocking condiments, utensils, retail items, beverages, ect.
• Put away requisition/supplies from the storeroom as required.
• Familiar with hotel layout and hours of operations for each outlet.
• Perform any cleaning tasks that pertain to the outlet.
