Job summary

The Rockhill Group seeks a Wing Scheduler in the Operations unit at Barksdale Air Force Base. The role focuses on macro-level operational alignment, strategic resource optimization, and wing-level coordination to support ACE and aerial refueling tanker missions.

You will analyze historical mission data, develop long-range scheduling systems, and train Operations Group personnel on scheduling software. Strong DoD experience and clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years as squadron aircrew scheduler.
• Experience with Patriot Excalibur or similar scheduling systems.
• Experience in a DoD flying squadron/group/wing environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Access, Excel, SharePoint, Teams; NIPR/SIPR familiarity.
• Excellent written and oral communication for executive briefings and leadership status reports.

Operations

Focuses on macro-level operational alignment, strategic resource optimization, and Wing-level coordination. Key duties include:

• Develop and maintain comprehensive long-range scheduling systems, prioritizing aerial refueling tankers and Agile Combat Employment (ACE) operations.
• Align operational unit long-term mission planning with AFGSC strategic goals and tenant partners (AFRC, ANG).
• Analyze historical mission data to optimize resources and generate decision-making analytics for Operations Group leadership.
• Provide training and knowledge transfer to Operations Group personnel on long-range scheduling software and capabilities.

Security Clearance:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must possess an active SECRET clearance (or a previously held SECRET clearance that has expired without being revoked/compromised).
• Candidates without an active clearance may be considered on a case‑by‑case basis if eligible to immediately receive a SECRET clearance and submit required paperwork.
• Candidates must be eligible for unescorted access to base restricted areas, Common Access Card (CAC) issuance, National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI), and RESTRICTED DATA (RD) access as specified in DD Form 254.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience working as a squadron aircrew scheduler.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with Patriot Excalibur (PEX) or a similar proprietary aircrew scheduling system.
• Demonstrated experience working within a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) military flying squadron, group, or wing environment.
• Proficient in standard office software suite (Microsoft Access, Excel, SharePoint, Teams) and familiarity with NIPR/SIPR military IT networks.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills suitable for executive briefings, leadership status reports, and multi‑agency coordination.
