Job description

Clearwater Canyon Cellars is seeking a motivated, hospitality‑driven team member to join our small but dynamic winery team.

We’ve been crafting wines for 22 years and are passionate about expanding the understanding and appreciation of wine production — from vineyard to glass. This position is ideal for someone who loves connecting with guests, enjoys sales, and wants hands‑on involvement in all aspects of winery operations.

This is more than a tasting room position — it’s an opportunity to be immersed in the full winery experience.

Schedule

Full‑time, Tue.–Sat., 10:00 AM–6:00 PM (occasional extended hours for special events)

Core Responsibilities
  • Host engaging wine tastings and drive bottle and wine club sales
  • Process transactions and manage POS accurately
  • Maintain tasting room with daily activities of opening and closing tasting room
  • Grow and maintain relationships with local wholesale accounts
  • Perform wine deliveries to wholesale accounts within local area
  • Assist with off‑site community events
  • Answer phone calls and email communication
  • Assist with harvest, bottling, and winery events
Qualifications
  • Applicants MUST be 21+ years old
  • Confidence and aptitude to learn new computer programs
  • General wine knowledge preferred with an eagerness to learn more
  • Comfortable with sales and relationship‑building
  • Self‑motivated and able to work independently
  • Able to lift 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks (harvest, bottling, event setup, lifting 50lbs/case of wine, standing for long periods)
  • Available to work weekends, including evenings and the occasional Sundays
Compensation and Benefits
  • Starting at $20 /hour
  • Group health insurance available, with 50% employer‑paid premium
  • Retirement plan with up to 3% employer match
  • Yearly bonuses
  • We recognize the importance of work life balance: 4 paid holidays, 5 paid sick days, accrued paid vacation.
  • Employee wine benefits (allocations and discounts)

We continually invest in our team’s professional development by supporting participation in a wide range of opportunities: classes, conferences (WAWGG, IWC), industry associations, seminars and one‑on‑one meetings with consultants. This team likes to learn!

Opportunity for Advancement

This position offers meaningful opportunity for expanded responsibility based on performance and initiative. As part of a small, collaborative team, there is room to take ownership of projects and contribute to the broader direction of the winery.

Growth opportunities may include:

  • Managing branded merchandise selection and ordering
  • Coordinating and responding to donation requests
  • Assisting with wine club communications, including drafting release emails and promotional messaging
  • Supporting marketing initiatives and customer outreach
  • Developing and strengthening wholesale relationships
  • Taking on additional operational or strategic responsibilities over time

We value team members who are proactive, detail‑oriented, and excited to contribute beyond their core role. For the right person, this position can evolve alongside their interests and strengths.
