The role requires deep viticulture and oenology knowledge, strong leadership, and a hands-on approach to producing world-class wines from the Paarl estate.

Formación

• Degree in Oenology, Viticulture, or related field.

About the Role

Our client, a renowned winery in Paarl , is seeking an experienced Winery Operations Manager to oversee all production, cellar, and vineyard operations. This critical role ensures the efficient and high-quality production of wine, from grape reception to bottling and dispatch. You will manage cellar staff, implement best practices in winemaking, and ensure compliance with stringent quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate is deeply knowledgeable about viticulture and oenology, possesses strong operational leadership skills, and is dedicated to producing world-class wines from their prestigious Paarl estate.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the winemaking process , from grape sourcing and fermentation to aging and bottling.
• Oversee cellar operations, including sanitation, inventory management, and equipment maintenance.
• Lead and mentor the cellar and production team, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards.
• Ensure strict adherence to quality control protocols and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Manage vineyard operations in coordination with viticulturists to ensure optimal grape quality.
• Develop and manage the operational budget for the winery, controlling costs and optimizing resource allocation.
