Job summary

District Winery is seeking a Tasting Room Associate for First Batch to deliver a world-class guest experience. In this hourly position, you will guide guests through tastings, recommend wine pairings, and promote our Wine Club and retail bottles while embodying District Winery’s hospitality DNA.

The ideal candidate brings strong wine knowledge, professional demeanor, and a commitment to ongoing education within a serious wine program, with availability for evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ year of service experience in casual/fine dining.
• Existing wine knowledge of varietals, regions, and tasting notes.
• Wine certification (WSET, CMS, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
• Full-time availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Polished, professional demeanor with passion for wine and hospitality.
• Interest in building a long-term career in wine-focused hospitality.
• Ability to stand 8–10 hours per shift; lift up to 50 pounds; navigate stairs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a refined guest experience and guide structured wine tastings.
• Provide thoughtful food and wine pairing recommendations.
• Drive Wine Club memberships and retail bottle sales.
• Promote tours, classes, and ticketed events.
• Collaborate with culinary, events, and management teams; maintain stocked tasting room.
