Job summary

First Batch Winery in Brooklyn is seeking a Tasting Room Server to deliver a world-class guest experience. In this hourly role, you will guide guests through wine tastings, describe wines, and promote the Wine Club and retail bottles.

You will work with a team to ensure a warm, attentive environment, handle sales using the POS, and help with tours and events. A passion for wine and hospitality is essential.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in hospitality or retail; certification in safe alcohol and wine knowledge
• Knowledge of sanitation and health codes required
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for 8–10 hours

Responsibilities

• Engage guests and provide warm, attentive service throughout their visit
• Describe wines confidently and offer pairings and tasting notes
• Promote Wine Club, retail bottles, tours, and events to drive sales
• Operate POS and process transactions accurately
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked tasting room
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and management for smooth operations
