Job summary

Ponte Winery in Temecula is seeking a Tasting Room Server to provide guests with a welcoming and memorable experience in our country setting. You will explain the tasting process, share knowledge about our wines, and engage guests in friendly conversations.

This sales-oriented role requires 21+, excellent communication, and the ability to up-sell wine and merchandise. Availability on weekends and holidays is essential; compensation is $16.90 per hour plus commissions.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 and over.
• Excellent communication and guest service skills.
• Ability to upsell wine, wine club memberships, and merchandise.
• Able to stand for long periods, indoors and outdoors, in varying weather.
• Weekend and holiday availability required.
• Fluent in English and able to engage guests professionally.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a friendly, courteous manner.
• Explain the tasting process and wines to guests.
• Pour six tastings per wine club member or guest while engaging in conversation.
• Monitor guest safety and signs of intoxication.
• Drive revenue by selling wine, wine club memberships, and merchandise.
• Encourage sign-ups and provide product knowledge for upsell opportunities.
• Build lasting guest relationships through exceptional service.
• Explain wine club benefits and assist with purchases.
