Job summary

Biltmore Estate is seeking a Wine Server/Tasting Room Host to greet guests and create memorable wine experiences. You will use your wine knowledge and warm hospitality to guide guests through selections while maintaining a high standard of service in a busy environment.

Requires a friendly, outgoing personality, strong guest relations, and the ability to multitask. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability are required, with a pay range starting at $16.32/hour.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a guest service environment required.
• Ideal candidate will have at least six (6) months of related experience, preferably in upscale food and beverage.
• Demonstrated commitment to delivering world-class guest service and anticipating and exceeding guest expectations.
• Excellent guest relations and communications skills are required; must be warm, sincere, and gracious.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the Tasting Room for the days' activities.
• Greet guests with warmth and professionalism.
• Track wine inventory/usage daily.
• Assist guests in selecting wines that fit their preferences.
• Understand the winemaking process and Biltmore Wine portfolio.
• Upsell and cross-sell wines and merchandise, including discounts.
• Promote the Wine Club to guests.
• Close and stock the Tasting Room at day end.
• Keep a safe, clean work area.
• Attend to a high volume of guests quickly and attentively.
• Be outgoing and enjoy working with people.
• Assist with Wine Club Lounge operations.
• Opportunity to host Winery Programs, Tours, & Events based on operational needs.
