Starting pay is $10.00/hour plus tips, with average earnings of $16–$22/hour depending on business volume. Shifts are 2–3 per week, with weekend availability required and opportunities to upsell wine and merchandise.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• At least six months of wine service experience in a fine dining setting.
• Excellent guest relations and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate guests’ needs and maintain positive guest relations at all times.
• Deliver wine and food items promptly to guests.
• Work independently and as part of a team while upholding service standards.
• Maintain wine education and knowledge to inform guests and up-sell.
• Create a unique tasting experience and assist guests in selecting wines.
• Promote Vanderbilt Wine Club and inform guests about club details.
• Coordinate orders of merchandise and wine to increase guest purchases.
• Meet sales goals and open/close the Wine Bar as scheduled.
• Stock, restock, and maintain wine inventory and bar area.
