Job summary

Total Wine & More is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Houston to grow our brand by delivering best-in-class service and running a high-performing store. You will report to the Store Manager and help build a sales-focused culture.

You will support day-to-day operations, lead a team, manage payroll and inventory, ensure compliance with alcohol regulations, and deliver a welcoming customer experience while driving profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field preferred or equivalent experience.
• 1-3 years of work experience, 2+ years in managerial or supervisory role in retail.
• Experience leading, motivating, and developing a sales-focused team.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and optimize key performance metrics.
• Recruit, train, and develop store team.
• Manage payroll, inventory, merchandising and shrink.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and resolve issues.
• Maintain vendor relationships and comply with alcohol laws.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
