Job summary

Total Wine & More is hiring a Merchandiser in Bakersfield, CA. The role focuses on merchandising, inventory management, and delivering excellent customer service. You may also support online operations, curbside pickup, and occasional delivery if assigned.

Internal title is Merchandiser, reporting to store management. The position requires 1–3 years retail experience (preferred), a high school diploma or equivalent, and familiarity with POS systems and inventory software.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in retail preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems and inventory management software.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule as business requires, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maximize product inventory, including processing freight, organizing and distributing inventory, pulling and stocking merchandise, building displays and end caps, placing signage, and supporting digital business operations by fulfilling orders and assisting with in-store and curbside pick-up and delivery services.
• Deliver exceptional service by greeting customers, engaging to build relationships, and informing about products and services.
• Participate in wine, spirits, and beer training to build product knowledge.
• Maintain knowledge of advertisements, promotions, and loyalty programs.
