Job Summary

Job Title: Wine and Spirits Cashier

Reports To: Wine and Spirits Department Manager

The role involves maintaining outstanding customer service, working closely with all Wine and Spirits associates to ensure adherence to company policies, achieving department goals, and meeting associates’ needs.

Associates have the opportunity to personalize guest experiences by providing expertise on wine and spirits products, from wine pairings to craft beers, guiding guests to the perfect selections.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Meet department standards in the Wine and Spirits department.
• Monitor sales floor and back stock conditions; take corrective actions as needed.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels and ensure accurate pricing.
• Coordinate with vendors, department managers, and associates to exceed guest expectations.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Assist guests in finding items on the sales floor.
• Stay informed about all promotions and advertisements.
• Process transactions accurately and maintain cash/media at registers.
• Handle special requests and take orders.
• Answer phones with proper etiquette.
• Address and resolve guest concerns.
• Ensure the register area is orderly and stocked.
• Support and execute superior customer service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain regular and timely attendance.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Contribute to cleanliness of the department.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years old to sample products.
• Effective tactful communication with customers.
• Understanding of safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to recognize safety hazards and operate equipment safely.
• Must be over 18 years old.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Ability to stand for long periods, walk, bend, stoop, and kneel.
• Manual dexterity and coordination to operate equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Exposure to extreme temperatures occasionally.

WORK SCHEDULE

Includes mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on availability.
