Job summary

Wine Industry Expo in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a wine sales professional to join our team. You will make wine recommendations to guests, supervise the serving of our wine selection, and develop relationships with distributors.

The ideal candidate is passionate and knowledgeable about all aspects of the wine industry and has the ability to drive sales by upselling our inventory. This role requires night and weekend work with occasional travel to events.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of wine, winemaking, and local vineyards.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work nights and weekends with occasional travel amongst companies and events.

Responsibilities

• Recommend wine pairings to customers
• Describe various wines and their features to patrons
• Plan and assist in wine tastings and events
• Manage wine cellar and ensure bottles are properly stored
• Educate staff on available wines
• Build relationships with vendors and negotiate the best prices
