Sotheby’s in New York seeks a Retail Wine Store Associate to assist customers, process orders, and analyze past purchase history to identify sales opportunities. You will support buying, receiving, cataloging, and inspecting new arrivals.

The role requires a five-day workweek, with possible Saturdays and Sundays, and overtime during peak seasons; candidates should be reliable, discreet, and able to lift up to 40 pounds, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with POS/ERP systems.

Competenze

Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
Able to load and unload wine cases up to 40 pounds.
Ability to learn proprietary POS and website system.
Flexibility to work overtime during the busy holiday season.
Flexibility to work occasional nights and weekends.
Trustworthy, reliable, detail oriented, and discreet.
Computer skills: Microsoft Office suite.

Mansioni

Assisting in retail store including opening store, greeting clients, answering phones, etc.
Receiving wine from suppliers at the store
Restocking the shelves
Assisting with store merchandising as needed
Assisting in maintaining the store appearance
Applying barcodes to bottles
Analyze purchase history by channel, available inventory, incoming inventory, and overall market to identify sales opportunity.
Send and/or prepare outreach email by creating templates.
Create items in the ERP system
Create POs in the ERP system
Inspect and confirm new arrivals at the warehouse and/or the store
