Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an innovative Tourism Experience Developer near Paarl, Western Cape. You will research opportunities, design unique tour packages, and partner with wineries, guesthouses, and restaurants to craft compelling offers for international and domestic visitors.

The role requires a strong background in tourism, hospitality, or event management, with a passion for the wine industry and creative product development. Travel within the region is expected as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in tourism development, product management, or related field.
• Proven track record of launching innovative tourism experiences.
• Deep knowledge of Western Cape wine region attractions and hospitality.
• Strong market understanding of tourism trends and customer preferences.
• Bachelor's degree in Tourism Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Research and identify opportunities for new tourism products and experiences within the wine region.
• Design, develop, and implement unique tour packages, themed routes, and visitor activities.
• Collaborate with wineries, guesthouses, restaurants, and activity providers to create compelling offers.
• Ensure all developed experiences meet high standards of quality, authenticity, and customer satisfaction.
• Develop marketing materials and promotional strategies for new tourism products.
• Manage relationships with key stakeholders and partners within the tourism and wine industries.
• Analyze market trends and competitor offerings to ensure product competitiveness.
• Conduct feasibility studies and financial projections for new tourism initiatives.
• Oversee the successful launch and ongoing management of developed experiences.
• Provide training and support to partners involved in delivering new experiences.
