Job summary

Wineshipping, a premier wine logistics provider, seeks an ICQA Operations Manager to lead inbound, outbound, or cross-functional fulfillment operations on a shift basis in a climate-controlled facility in California. Your leadership will drive safety and daily operational excellence.

You will help set goals, manage labor, coach teams, and align with enterprise initiatives. Expect opportunities to grow within Wineshipping, with occasional extra hours and weekend work as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years fulfillment experience.
• Direct leadership experience for an hourly employee population and not just its performance.
• Experience with performance metrics, process improvement, and Lean techniques.
• Experience with a contingent (temporary) workforce during peak seasons.
• Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in sometimes stressful situations.
• Leadership experience in a manufacturing, production, or distribution environment.

Responsibilities

• Keep the team safe and ensure everyone goes home in the same or better shape.
• Provide strong leadership and listen to team needs and concerns.
• Help set operational and financial goals and manage daily labor information.
• Evaluate and build the team; foster a desirable work environment.
• Coach and develop team members for growth within Wineshipping.
• Align with enterprise initiatives and strive to improve units per labor hour (UPLH).
• Delight customers by meeting shipping targets daily and building trust in Wineshipping.
• Perform duties with consistency and adaptability as needed.
• Handle additional tasks as assigned to keep operations interesting.
