Job summary

Responsibilities include maintaining product knowledge, ensuring proper storage conditions, and upholding safety and quality standards. Must be 21+, with strong math and multitasking skills.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate in a second language is preferred.
• Knowledge of imported and domestic wine varieties and flavor profiles.
• Experience working with wine and beer in a retail setting.
• High school education or equivalent is required.
• Must be 21 years of age and able to handle stressful situations.
• Ability to perform basic math and pass a wine test after hire.

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create a welcoming environment and assist customers with product questions.
• Know wine offerings and suggest items to customers.
• Offer samples in accordance with policy and laws.
• Inform customers of wine specials and pairings with other items.
• Collaborate with store chef on wine tastings and programs.
• Maintain proper temperatures and record temperature logs.
• Follow safety procedures and report unsafe conditions.
• Inspect equipment and report repairs as needed.
• Notify management of accidents and safety risks.
