Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies in Kirkland, WA seeks a wine department associate to deliver excellent service and help customers with wine and food pairings. You will maintain product knowledge, assist with tastings, keep wine cases at proper temperatures, and uphold safety and quality standards in a fast-paced retail setting.

Applicants should be 21+, willing to handle busy shifts, and capable of working as part of a team to ensure a welcoming store environment and accurate product

Qualifications

• Second language (speaking, reading and/or writing) required.
• Knowledge of imported and domestic varieties and the flavor profiles.
• Experience working with wine and beer.

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Assist customers by answering questions about products and wine.
• Offer samples and respond to product inquiries.
• Inform customers of wine specials.
• Recommend wine items and pairings with foods.
• Collaborate with store chef for wine tastings.
• Ensure proper temperatures in cases and maintain temperature logs.
• Report safety risks and incidents.
• Maintain a safe environment and follow safety procedures.
• Assist with essential job functions.
