Job summary

The Olive Press in Sonoma, CA is seeking a full-time Cellar Worker. This entry- to mid-level role supports crush operations, barrel work, bottling prep, and general cellar duties with training provided.

You will learn to operate winery equipment, maintain safety, and collaborate across departments during peak harvest. This position offers stable hours, weekend shifts during harvest, and growth opportunities within a small production team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic math skills, including counting and measuring.
• Ability to read, write and understand English sufficiently to follow instructions.
• Ability to complete production records in English.
• Willingness to learn winery production processes and operate equipment.
• Reliable attendance, punctuality, and teamwork.
• Flexible schedule, including overtime and weekends during harvest.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, with or without accommodations.
• Must be able to work 4 days, 10 hour shifts when not in harvest.

Responsibilities

• Perform cellar operations; equipment sanitation, wine movements, barrel work, topping.
• Complete work orders promptly and record information accurately.
• Bottling line work.
• Collect wine samples for lab analysis.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient winery.
• Operate filtration equipment (training provided).
• Work shifts, overtime and weekends during harvest season.
• Operate grape processing equipment (hoist, crusher/de-stemmer, conveyors, presses).
