Epoch Estate Wines in Templeton, CA is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Cellar Technician to support winemaking operations year-round. You will work closely with the Assistant Winemaker to maintain quality during harvest and offseason.

Key duties include sanitation, barreling tasks, blending, bottling assistance, and training interns. Candidates should have 2 years cellar experience, forklift proficiency, strong communication, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• 2 years cellar work experience.
• Forklift proficiency.

• Organizational skills and ability to forward think in terms of cellar operations.
• Comfortable asking for help or clarification when needed.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs on a repetitive basis, work standing up and walk on concrete surfaces for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Possess a clean, current driver's license and own transportation.

Responsibilities

• Sanitation and general maintenance in all areas of the production facility and equipment.
• Battonage, topping and maintenance of barrels.
• Blending of wines.
• Assist in bottling.
• Help train and oversee interns on specific winemaking practices.
• Assist in the caretaking of the facility.
• Interaction with customers when requested.
