The Olive Press in Sonoma, CA is seeking a full-time Cellar Worker. This entry- to mid-level role supports crush operations, barrel work, bottling prep, and general cellar duties with training provided.

You will learn to operate winery equipment, maintain safety, and collaborate across departments during peak harvest. This position offers stable hours, weekend shifts during harvest, and growth opportunities within a small production team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic math skills, including counting and measuring.
• Ability to read, write and understand English sufficiently to follow instructions.
• Ability to complete production records in English.
• Willingness to learn winery production processes and operate equipment.
• Reliable attendance, punctuality, and teamwork.
• Flexible schedule, including overtime and weekends during harvest.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, with or without accommodations.
• Must be able to work 4 days, 10 hour shifts when not in harvest.

Cellar Worker

SUMMARY

This full-time position is open to an entry and mid-level independent Cellar Worker. The Cellar Worker will assist in all crush operations, barrel work, wine movement, cellar sanitation, cellar organization, bottling preparation, bottling line operations and special projects. This position may also assist the cellar maintenance team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform most cellar operations; including equipment sanitation, wine movements, barrel work, topping.
• Complete winery work orders promptly and records information accurately.
• Bottling line work.
• Collect wine samples for laboratory analysis.
• Helps to maintain a safe, clean, and efficient winery.
• Operate filtration equipment – training provided.
• Work shifts, overtime and weekends during harvest season - generally from August 1st late November.
• Operate grape processing equipment including hoist, crusher/de stemmer, conveyors and presses.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience, Knowledge, and Skills

• High school diploma or GED, basic math calculations.
• Basic math skills, including counting, measuring, and completing routine production calculations.
• Ability to read, write and understand English sufficiently to follow written and verbal work instructions, established procedures, and workplace safety requirements.
• Ability to complete production records, logs, checklists, and other required documentation accurately in English.
• Ability to learn winery production processes and safely operate equipment following appropriate training.
• Reliable attendance, punctuality, attention to detail, and a willingness to work collaboratively across departments.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime and weekend shifts during harvest and other peak production periods.
• Ability to perform the essential physical functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be able to work 4 days, 10 hour shift when not in Harvest.

Physical Demands

• Ability to carry up to 50 pounds over moderate distances.
• Ability to bend, twist, stoop, reach, crawl and walk.

PAY RANGE

$19.00 - $22.00 / hour (Depending on Experience)
