Job summary

Total Wine & More is seeking a Merchandiser to support merchandising, maximize inventory, and assist with online orders and curbside pickup. Internally you will be referred to as Merchandiser and report to the store management team.

You will greet customers, deliver a personalized service, stock displays, and participate in wine, spirits and beer training. Flexibility for evenings/weekends and ability to lift up to 50 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience, 1+ years in a retail setting preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule as business requires, including evenings and weekends.
• Physical requirements: 21+ years of age, walk, bend down repeatedly, stand 8–10 hours, lift up to 50 lbs., and work in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Maximize product inventory: process freight, organize and distribute inventory, pull and stock merchandise, build displays and end caps, place signage, and support digital business operations by fulfilling orders and assisting with in-store and curbside pickup and delivery services, including driving and making deliveries if assigned.
• Deliver exceptional service and a personalized experience by greeting customers, engaging to build relationships, and informing about products and services.
• Participate in wine, spirits, and beer training to build product knowledge.
• Maintain knowledge of advertisements, promotions, and loyalty programs.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness standards across the store.
• Ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations related to the sale of alcohol and maintain a safe and compliant store environment.
• Complete cross-functional responsibilities and other duties as assigned.
• Load and deliver orders in a safe and professional manner, following company policies and procedures and abiding by all traffic and safety laws.
