Job summary

Raytheon in Tucson, AZ seeks a Principal Systems Administrator to manage and secure mixed Windows/Linux infrastructure for classified programs. You will install, configure, and maintain systems, lead Red Hat provisioning, and ensure robust backup and access controls.

The role requires DoD 8140/8570 certification within 6 months, DoD secret clearance, and 5+ years of relevant experience. Schedule is 6:00 AM–6:00 PM Fri–Sun with 4 hours on another day, total 40 hours, 8% shift differential.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a bachelor's degree and minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Active DoD secret clearance required before start date; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Windows and Red Hat Linux environment.
• Lead and coordinate Red Hat installation and configuration.
• Provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software for classified programs.
• Manage server hardware/software, storage, authentication, data backup/restoration, licensing, and workstation support.
• Support Windows Server and Linux fundamentals including DNS, DHCP, AD, and replication methods.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity professionals to meet security requirements and document processes.
• Maintain 24x7 system operations and occasional after-hours work; travel up to 5%.
