Job summary

Peraton seeks a Windows System Administrator for the DOL ITOM program to provide expertise in a multi-tenant environment. You will manage Active Directory, SCCM, and virtualization platforms while collaborating with DBAs, developers, and other system administrators.

You will mentor teammates, create operational reports, and support Windows servers and desktops in production and non-production environments. A strong focus on security, issue resolution, and documentation is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in supporting Windows Server Operating Systems
• 5+ years of patch management experience with Microsoft and other vendors
• 3+ years supporting Citrix environments
• 3+ years of Microsoft BI stack experience (SQL Server, SSRS, SSIS)
• 2+ years participating in CAB meetings and production change approvals
• Strong PowerShell scripting ability
• Experience deploying, migrating, and supporting core Microsoft technologies at scale

Responsibilities

• Coaching and mentoring junior team members
• Provide SME for Active Directory, SCCM, and virtualization in a multitenancy environment
• Create reporting solutions and reports for team and customers
• Collaborate with engineering groups to deliver value to customers
• Ensure security and management of Windows servers and desktops in production and non-production environments
• Troubleshoot complex integration and technical problems in a dynamic environment
• Coordinate with other Systems Administrators, DBAs, and developers to resolve issues
• Escalate to other groups as needed to achieve resolutions
• Resolve incidents affecting hosts or environments
• Investigate root causes via problem management
• Create, review, and update documentation
• Foster knowledge sharing among colleagues
• Plan and execute controlled releases into the managed environment
• Contribute to Business Continuity Planning and Practices
• Assist in major events like power downs and disaster recovery
• Respond to severity 1 and 2 escalations
• Develop and maintain Windows platform for server hosts connected to multiple clients
• Test and certify new Windows versions for better integration with VMware/SharePoint
• Integrate server automation via scripts or third-party solutions
• Perform regular server health checks and maintenance
• Maintain multi-site Windows environments and manage migrations
