Job summary

Peraton in the United States is seeking a Windows System Administrator to oversee and optimize our Windows server and desktop environments. You will mentor junior engineers, provide SME support for AD, SCCM, Hyper‑V and VMware, and collaborate with engineering teams to deliver reliable, secure solutions.

This role requires citizenship and the ability to obtain a Public Trust, with 5+ years in Windows Server, patch management, and Citrix.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• 5+ years supporting Windows Server operating systems.
• 5+ years patch management: deep knowledge of Microsoft's and other vendors' practices.
• 3+ years supporting Citrix environments.
• 3+ years of experience in Microsoft BI stack, including SQL server, SSRS and SSIS
• 2+ years of experience in CAB meetings and approval flow of Production changes
• Good knowledge of PowerShell scripting

Responsibilities

• Coaching and mentoring junior team members
• Provide Subject Matter Expertise for Active Directory, SCCM, and virtualization environments
• Create reporting solutions and reports for team and customers
• Work with engineering groups to deliver value to customers
• Responsible for the security and management of Windows servers and desktops
• Resolve incidents and diagnose root causes through problem management
• Document, review, and update operational procedures
• Plan controlled releases and contribute to business continuity planning
• Assist in major planned events such as power down and disaster recovery
• Respond to severity 1 and 2 escalations
