Job summary

Vets Hired in the United States is seeking a System Administrator (Associate/Intermediate) to support, secure, and troubleshoot enterprise IT systems and Windows server environments. You will assist with Active Directory management, user accounts, monitoring, patching, backups, and vulnerability remediation to ensure reliable operations.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship with an active Secret Clearance.
• IAT Level II Certification or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in systems administration, IT support, networking, or cybersecurity.
• Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and enterprise infrastructure.
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity, vulnerability management, and system hardening.
• Microsoft 365 Teamwork Administrator Associate certification (or obtain within 6 months).

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, patch, and troubleshoot Windows servers, workstations, operating systems, and enterprise applications.
• Provide technical support for hardware, software, user accounts, and system-related issues.
• Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, MECM, and enterprise services.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and security.
• Perform routine system maintenance, backups, recovery, and patch management.
• Create, modify, and maintain user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
• Support vulnerability remediation and system hardening activities.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, system configurations, and SOPs.
• Collaborate with networking, engineering, and cybersecurity teams.
• Support audits, inspections, and cybersecurity compliance activities.
• Conduct troubleshooting and root cause analysis for technical issues. Assist with enterprise infrastructure support and system improvements.
