Job summary

Specialty Systems, Inc. is seeking a Windows Platform Engineer to join our team supporting Government customers and national security missions.

You will design, implement, automate, and sustain Windows-based platform environments across development, test, and production, including DoD STIG/RMF compliance and DevSecOps integration. The position sits at a customer site in Lakehurst, NJ, operating on a four 9-hour days schedule (M-Th) and a Friday 8-hour day for the first week of a cycle, followed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Active Secret Clearance required or ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting Windows-based enterprise environments.
• Security+ CE certification or ability to obtain within 3–6 months of hire.
• Strong experience administering Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022), Active Directory, Group Policy, and domain services.
• Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Experience supporting virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Familiarity with IaC tools (Ansible, Terraform).
• Working knowledge of DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP; familiarity with DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience implementing STIG compliance and RMF security controls.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain Windows-based platform infrastructure across development, test, and production environments.
• Automate and document provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes.
• Administer Windows Server environments including Active Directory, Group Policy, and domain services.
• Develop IaC solutions to support repeatable deployments.
• Support DevSecOps pipelines and CI/CD for Windows applications and services.
• Implement and maintain STIG and RMF security controls.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot, and optimize reliability and scalability.
• Coordinate patching and vulnerability remediation for Windows systems.
• Support virtualization and cloud environments (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support platform integration and delivery.
