Job summary

Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT) in Mount Laurel, NJ, is seeking a Systems Engineer to join a fast-paced, mission-focused team. This on-site role requires collaboration with customers and internal developers to translate goals into deployable solutions.

Candidates should have a STEM degree and 3–5+ years of experience, with knowledge of systems engineering practices, SysML/UML, and data analysis. Must be able to obtain/maintain an active Secret clearance and be prepared for travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, other STEM field, or equivalent full-time professional experience.
• 3–5+ years of relevant experience.
• Ability to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Strong communication with customers and engineers.
• Familiarity with System Engineering V-Model and testing methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop test/data algorithms for reducing instrumentation and data streams to meaningful quantification of system actions, behaviors, and outcomes.
• Evaluate customer needs to define system performance requirements and interfaces.
• Apply systems/software technologies to develop innovative solutions for complex software systems.
• Plan, design, develop and verify life cycle balanced system solutions.
• Analyze requirements, generate test cases, procedures, and plans, and troubleshoot discrepancies.
