Job summary

MKS2 Technologies is seeking a Microsoft Windows Field Deployment Technician to support VA EHR deployment projects. The role involves imaging, deploying, configuring and troubleshooting PCs, laptops, docking stations, and printers on-site at VA medical centers and offsite training sites.

The position requires 25-50% travel, a valid REALID or passport, and strong customer service skills. Expect lifting and moving equipment up to 50 pounds and occasional after-hours work.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with 8 years professional IT experience in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum 1 year imaging and installing computer equipment.
• Must travel 25-50% and have valid REALID or Passport at start date.
• Must have personal transportation available during work hours.

Responsibilities

• Imaging, unboxing, setting up, installing and configuring PCs, laptops, docking stations, monitors, printers and scanners.
• Move and deploy IT equipment, including pallets up to 50 pounds.
• Set up equipment at VA facilities and offsite training centers; verify current VA image and security scans.
• Assign Active Directory for training use and configure classroom network connectivity.
• Package and re-pack hardware for shipment and handle occasional evening or weekend hours.
