Deploy and configure IT equipment at VA medical centers | Hands‑on technical work | Customer‑facing role

The Role

Deploy, image, and configure IT equipment (PCs, laptops, monitors, printers, network connections) at VA medical centers and training sites. You'll set up training rooms, install hardware, verify system images, configure Active Directory, and provide white‑glove customer service to VA staff. On‑site work at VA locations with daytime hours (occasional evenings/weekends). Local travel to sites within the metro area as needed.

What You’ll Do

• Unbox, install, and configure IT equipment at VA facilities and training centers
• Image computers with current VA builds and prepare for security scans
• Set up network connectivity, peripherals, and training room equipment
• Troubleshoot hardware/software issues and provide break‑fix support
• Re‑pack and ship equipment between sites
• Log work in system admin tools and maintain documentation
• Deliver excellent customer service to VA staff and trainees

Required

• 5+ year imaging and installing computer equipment
• Hardware support experience: laptops, desktops, printers, deployment projects
• System administration tasks and troubleshooting skills
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Physical requirements: Lift/move equipment up to 50 lbs, push carts, frequently stoop/crouch/reach
• Personal vehicle available during work hours
• Bachelor's in STEM/IT/CS

US Citizenship or Green Card required for Public Trust clearance
